You’ve decided to take a cycling tour of the Netherlands. Buckle up, you’re in for an adventure through the flatlands, canals, and cobblestone streets of this picturesque country. The Netherlands has a rich history spanning centuries that has shaped its culture, architecture, and landscape. As you pedal from town to town, you’ll experience it all.

So pack your bags, hop on your bike, and get ready to pedal through the centuries. Adventure awaits! From historic battlegrounds to hidden beaches, world-class museums to open-air markets, this cycling tour has something for everyone. Enjoy the ride and all the tales of long ago the Netherlands has to share with you!

    Exploring Amsterdam by Bicycle

There’s no better way to explore the charming canals and cobblestone streets of Amsterdam than by bike. Rent a bike from one of the many rental shops around the city and off you go!

Cycle along the picturesque canals, lined with colorful houses and blooming flower boxes. Make your way to the Vondelpark, Amsterdam’s lively urban park. Stroll, jog, picnic or just people watch – there’s something for everyone in this green oasis.

Head to the Museumplein, home to world-class museums like the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. Even if you’re not going inside, the modern architecture is worth seeing.

There’s so much to experience in Amsterdam, and cycling around this enchanting city is the perfect way to go. At the end of an eventful day, find an outdoor cafe, order a cold beer, and watch the world go by. That’s the joy of exploring Amsterdam on two wheels.

Pedaling Through the Hoge Veluwe National Park

The Hoge Veluwe National Park is a perfect place to experience the Netherlands’ cycling heritage. Covering over 13,000 hectares, the park has over 200 kilometers of bike paths to explore.

    Bike Rentals

You can rent bikes right at the park entrances so you don’t have to haul your own. They offer standard bikes as well as e-bikes if you want a little pedal assistance. Rentals are very affordable, starting around €10 per day.

    Beautiful Scenery

Once you’ve got your wheels, head out to take in the gorgeous scenery. Glide through shady forests, pass by hidden lakes and ponds, and pedal through open grasslands where you might spot wild deer or boar. The park is especially stunning in spring when the rhododendrons are blooming.

Whether you spend a few hours or a few days exploring, the Hoge Veluwe National Park is a cycling paradise you won’t soon forget. Take your time, stop when the mood strikes you, and discover why the Netherlands is a biking wonderland.
