    Overview

The Honda City is a compact sedan car that has been crafted by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Honda. primarily, it was a 2-door convertible, 3-door hatchback launched only in elected markets. The 2nd-generation Honda City was introduced in 1986 but the City nameplate was dropped in 1994 and swapped by another model.

The Honda City was back in 1996 as a series of compact 4-door sedans. This 3rd-generation City was erected on Honda’s Global Small Car platform in which the position of the fuel tank is under the front seats instead of the rear seats. The 3rd generation of Honda City Pakistan made its name among the customers as it retaliates the sales of Suzuki Margalla in its early days. The company also launched a facelift form of 3rd gen Honda City in 2000 and persist its production for another 3 years before launching the next generation in Pakistan.

The fourth-generation Honda City was presented globally in 2002 and later got a facelift in 2005. Honda City was possibly reborn in the Pakistani market when Honda launched the 4th generation of the prevalent compact sedan in 2003. The level of fuel economy was maximized to another level with the presentation of the twin-spark i-DSI engine-based City. It became greatly popular in the native market and is still known as one of the fuel-economical automobiles in its league. outstanding to its popularity, the company also introduced a facelift version in 2005 which last till 2008. Some foremost changes were made in the exterior of the car through minimum changes in the interior were also seen. It is worth stating here that the version of the 3rd generation did not go too fit in the local market.

The fifth generation of Honda City Pakistan was introduced back in 2009 and since that time we have seen many facelift forms of the car. The company is so far given up on this specific model and it has passed a period of production. The admiral of Honda’s compact sedan still succeeds owing to its fuel economy and sleek drive although there are still no airbags present at any trim level. It is accessible in 1.5L and 1.3L variants in the country. Subsequently, since 2009, it has established plenty of cosmetic variations which mainly include the headlights, a new design of the front radiator grille, and tail lights.
